Trust is an assumption and belief about how someone is acting or will act in the future according to your set of expectations.
For instance, I assume that my husband is at work right now. That's where he said he was going when he left this morning. But the truth is he could be riding around on a yacht that he bought with his secret bank account. I can't be 100% certain, but I have decided to trust him and so I am not worried about it.
