Change Your Life One Smoothie at a Time

This past weekend Steve and I led our Lift-Off Retreat for Project One, with 16 inspired participants. During the two days, we identified values, agreements and ideals we wish to uphold as we work together closely for the next 10 months. Some of our discussions were very philosophical in nature, reaching back in time to connect with the moment before the Universe popped into existence. Other areas of the weekend focused on the very tangible present: the state of our health, our work lives, and our relationships. We dove in to all of these topics in a holistic way, knowing that the quality of our sleep informs the productivity of our work; the vibrancy of our relationships reveals the richness of the soil of our interior landscape. 

In holistic work, the interplay of different factors and domains is of primary importance. So while we are focusing this month more on the topic of Living (i.e. our physical health and vitality), all of the attention we'll be giving things like sleep, nutrition, and exercise will surely trickle out into the other domains of Working and Being.  

One simple exercise for this week within our group is to create a simple, healthful recipe to share with the group. Today Steve made the smoothie below for breakfast. It was so delicious I wanted to share it with all of you. And if you would like to offer any great healthy food ideas of your own please do so in the comments below.  

Awesome Green Breakfast Smoothie blueberries

  • 2 bananas
  • 2 frozen E3Live cubes (or chlorella / spirulina, etc)
  • flax seeds
  • hemp seeds
  • goji berries
  • a few tsp cocoa powder
  • Vega protein powder
  • small handful of spinach
  • 2 handfuls of almonds
  • touch of maple syrup
  • blue berries
  • 12 oz water
Blend it all up in a Vita Mix blender (must be capable of liquifying all the little seeds) and enjoy!
