The Artist's Way - Sense of Faith (Final Week)
Welcome to our final week of the Artist's Way!
It has been wonderful to connect with you all and I know that a few of you are still working your way through the weeks so don't stop posting and emailing me with your insights.
For me this week "The Test" struck a chord. I have had this happen a number of times in creative dealings and also in my work and even some past friendships. Just when I decide it is time to stop spending time with that draining friend or keep putting effort into a class that just isn't working, the friend reaches out or the class numbers suddenly surge. It is hard to know what to make of this when it happens and so I appreciated reading her perspective.
In terms of the book as a whole, personally there were a lot of pieces I found a bit too psychoanalytical and even at times a bit preachy for my taste. To me, creative life is complex and some people need a bit of a boost but not full blown "recovery". There were exercises I rolled my eyes at, but others that did surprise me. I found the morning pages and artist date challenging and learned that it is hard for me to carve out time to "play" or to write for no reason other than to vent or meander.
This week, instead of questions I want to hear your thoughts on the book. Did you love it? hate it? learn something? learn nothing?
Give us your review and THANK YOU for joining me :)
